CPET-2023: Application process started on May 1st, Exams from June 23

Introduction

The Department of Higher Education.Government of Odisha has revealed The Odisha CPTET 2023 Application form. It has been made available from May 01,2023 at 2:00 PM. The Odisha CPET 2023 has gone live on the official website of SAM Odisha and the applicants can apply for the exam on pg.samsodisha.gov.in.

Odisha PG Entrance Test is a state level entrance examination held once a year for the candidates willing to seek admission in courses like M.A,M.Sc,M.Com and more, in various post graduate Colleges and Universities in the state.

Eligibility

Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree in the relevant field with a percentage of 45%-50% and are appearing/completed their graduate degree in any course are eligible for The Odisha CPET 2023 Exam. Candidates who have appeared for UG final exams also fall under the eligibility criteria.

Format

Regarding the format, it will be similar to the previous year exams.

It will consist of 40 questions from core paper and 30 questions from the elective papers.

All the questions are to be multiple choice carrying 1 mark each without any negative marking. The answers are to be marked on the OMR sheets.

This year, for the first time, the State Selection Board(SSB) is taking the responsibility of conducting The Odisha CPET Exam. As per the official schedule the exams are commenced to be held between 23rd June and 4th July, 2023.

After a detailed tally of the expenditure cost for conducting the exam by different universities came out that SSB can conduct the exam at a comparatively lower cost.

It has been finalised that SSB will be handing out the rank cards to the department followed by the admission process by the Department.

The online CPET 2023 application form submission closes on 10th May 2023 at 11:45 PM. Candidates can edit the details of their applied form on 11th May 2023 and 12th May 2023. Hall tickets are announced to be handed over to the candidate on 9th June 2023 from 2:00 PM onwards.

Exams are going to be conducted on 23rd June 2023 to 04 July 2023 as declared. SSB will hand over the entrance marks to OCAC on 16th July 2023. Marks will be updated by SSB to OCAC on 8th July 2023(10:00 AM) to 15 July 2023(11:45 PM).Merit list releases are yet to be announced.
